The BEST Classroom Pencil Sharpener EVER!

I came across THE best pencil sharpener for the classroom right before school started! The Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener can be found at www.classroomfriendlysupplies.com. It is a company that is owned and operated by a teacher, so I am not surprised that it is perfect. Right before I came across this website, I was looking for a heavy duty sharpener. I needed one that could handle sharpening 25-30 pencils at least twice a day. In the past I would buy the Xacto brand from Lakeshore or Staples  (for about $70) and get a warranty (when I bought it from Staples) because it would die by December/January. I usually had to pay about $10.00 to renew the warranty each year. Despite having the warranty for some odd reason I would find myself replacing the sharpener all together by August.

One day this past August I was blog hopping and planning for the school year and came across the Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener. I received it in the mail right before school started (it came really fast). I have to admit, initially I was weary. It is so light in weight and....quiet! When sharpening, the handle spins so easily, I just new it wasn't doing anything. But in a few short spins, it was done and when I pulled the pencil out, it was SHARP and not that annoying kind of sharp---it was fresh pencil, ready to take a test SHARP! I knew for sure that even thought it sharpened my pencils,  it was going to be too flimsy to handle my 25-30 pencils twice a day. I. WAS. WRONG! I am in love with this sharpener. It is quiet, it is quick, it is efficient. It is the best thing since sliced bread : ) The Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener is durable. I've been waiting to talk about it because I wanted to make sure it was going to "make it", lol! I didn't want to give it rave reviews and then it fall apart on me. Well, you can trust that it has been a reliable resource from day one and is still working great.  Don't let the light weight fool you! I can move it around the room when necessary and I love the old school look. The kids LOVE that it makes their pencils EXTRA sharp!!
